A converted trailer is a standard enclosed trailer with spray foam insulation and a cooling unit installed inside. These units typically have half the amount of insulation compared to our refrigerated trailers, and require significantly more time to pull the cooler down to temperature.
Most standard enclosed trailers are a 6’ height, which aren’t as desirable as our 7’ interior which allow for easy standing and moving around.
For your custom built trailer, you’ll get to choose the:
Length: choose from a variety of lengths
Width: choose from 5’ - 8.5’
Height: we recommend 7’ height for proper standing room
Wrap colour: to be coordinated with a local company in the building process. You can also choose for your trailer to remain unwrapped, leaving the natural white aluminum exterior
Interior options:
Refrigerated,
Freezer, or
Combination - incorporate both freezer and cooler sections.

We follow a series of steps to build your dream trailer just right.
1.
Free Consultation
An SCS team member will discuss your wants and needs for your trailer.
SCS will follow up with available options and a quote. You will then have the opportunity to accept the quote and sign an applicable contract.
Upon acceptance of quote and contract signing, 20% payment required.
2.
Supply Ordering
SCS will kick off the custom built process by ordering the proper materials and equipment from the initial consultation and quote.
3.
Assembly and Installation
Starting with the cooler box and refrigeration equipment including plumbing, leak testing, sealing, charging and testing.
At commencement of build, 40% payment required.
4.
Final Touches on Interior
Including installation of lighting, interior shelves and corner covers.
5.
Payment and pickup or delivery of your trailer
The best part!
Upon completion of your build, the final 40% payment is required. If you would like your trailer delivered directly to you when it is completed, we will quote that separately upon request.
Prices and Quality that Match
The cost of our custom built trailers depends on the equipment required for the build.
The starting price on a finished 6X10’ trailer with a 15a compressor is ~$29,900 CAD.
